Though the world eventually manages to assert itself into our consciousness, our desire to be God remains. Thus we desire the adoration of all. At the very least, we desire not to be criticized by anyone.
Hence comes insecurity. It is not a desire for security . It is not a fear of being un-secure, in our relationships, in our home, or on the job. It is the fear of not being well-thought-of wherever we are.
This, fortunately, we do not need. What we need is to remember that He who sees us best does adore us.
Someday, others will see us as God does. For now, it doesn't matter.
